Dean Zimmermann Indicted

Former Minneapolis councilman Dean Zimmermann Indicted.

Zimmermannn spent a lot of time in office promoting Personal Rapid Transit or PRT. Sometimes he would join up with Mark Olson (16b) at City Hall or the Capitol for a weird and wacky PRT dog & pony show.

Zimmermann's indictment can't be welcome news for Mark Olson and other prominent Minnesota PRTers like Senator Michele Bachmann.

Is Mark Olson Running Away from Personal Rapid Transit (PRT)?

Mark Olson's list of priorities on his website does not mention PRT:

Reduced the burden of government through fiscally prudent policies.

Improve legislative accountability by distributing power to all members, not just a select few.

Reduce health care costs by empowering consumers.

Does this mean that Olson will not introduce PRT bills to the legislature in the upcoming session?

HF 1641 (Olson) Personal rapid transit local bonding authorized.
